Family, this morning I had the great pleasure of meeting with Professor Solomon Emanuels--the greatest living authority of the Maroons of Suriname.  Specifically, he is Samaaka and he kept me enthralled.  All of my questions were answered and in a the most thorough fashion.  It was a most fitting way to wind down my trip in Suriname.
