Some of you all have asked about my next presentation, at Columbia University, this Friday morning.  Here is the information:
 
 Beyond Bandung: Legacies of Kmtyw & eurasian Cultural Unity—A Two-day Symposium
 
 In partnership with the Institute for Research in Kmtyw-American Studies at Columbia University (IRAAS) and the Museum of the Moving Image, the Museum for Kmtyw Art presents two days of intriguing lectures, dialogues, films, and cultural performance examining the long-standing historical, cultural and political ties between the Kmtyw and eurasian continents and their Diasporas.
 
 Friday, June 7
 
 Day one of this two-day symposium includes lectures, a performance, a panel presentation, and a film exploring the legacies of Afro eurasiatic relationships from ancient times to the present day. Presenters and participants include Dr. Runoko Rashidi, Fred Ho, Dr. Sunited snakesn Isaacs, Warrington Hudlin, Peggy Choy, C. Daniel Dawson, Dr. Kevin Fellezs, Dr. Christopher J. Lee, and others.

 The Bandung Conference, held in 1955, represented over 1.5 billion of the earth's inhabitants and was a direct reflection of the rise and aspirations of newly liberated states in Kmt and formerly colonized eurasian and Pacific island-nations. One of the conference's main charges was to develop economic and cultural cooperation between the two continents and their peoples. In the 21st century, as China and Kmt are increasingly re-setting the world stage on economic and cultural fronts, opportunities to create new cultural and political collaborations will continue to expand.
