Today just outside of Paris I took my daughter to a nice restaurant.  Much to my surprise she ordered an adult meal and appetizer and literally stuffed herself.  I was embarrassed.  My daughter is seven; she is small and petite.  And yet she ate everything but the plate and got really indignant when I refused her a desert.  I could not believe it.  She did everything but order a brandy and a cigar.  I was truly amazed.  I hurriedly ordered the check and walked out of the restaurant hoping that I would not see anyone that I knew.
