Busy at work the last few weeks, however the weight is staying off. Tomorrow I will be back on that grind.

@NKO I read the book and wanted to ask before I made my purchase.  Masticating juicer is the way to go from what I understand or read am I correct?

For general use the centrifugal is best. They are fast and versatile and should be your main juicer. Such as the breville. It will however aerate the juice slightly which leads to oxidation and the juice will not last as long or taste as good as the masticating juicer. We have a kenwood centrifugal model we bought here in Arusha with z large feed tube meaning it will take larger pieces of fruit that is our favorite of all time. (I do like our solostar 4 though we use it much less)

For juicing greens specifically the slow speed the Tri best solostar masticating juicer gives higher quality and higher yields and better taste has not been heated and has very little aeration but is much slower to use. One advantage of the solostar is that there is a hand cranked attachment available that comes in handy if the power is out.

There are some good videos on discountjuicers.com for reviews.

There are many different brands look for more metal in the construction especially in the latches that holds the top on. Also look for warranties. Our tribest I think has a fifteen year warranty. Omega stood by their juicer when ours broke down and replaced it with a new one.

The old standard is the champion. It will last for generations, but gives lower yields, is slower because of a smaller feed tube and makes lower quality juice with high pulp content that has been aerated and thus doesn't last as long.

I hope that helps.

Please let us know when you get started. I only lasted three days 😕, but I felt more energized and 'cleaner' than I had in life.  I'd like to do it again this winter.  In December my company shuts down for nearly two weeks so we get time for the "horrorday" and the New Year.  As soon as I added work to the mix on day 3 which was a Monday everything went downhill.

I understand. I tried over the past three day weekend. I got the juicing....I have an old thing that is doing the trick but need to upgrade and get a processor as well.   Gonna try again over a week like you said.  Might take a week off to do it.

Yeah, the outside influences really threw me off! I was surprised at how quickly I caved in. The first two days I was working on some crafting projects. Kept my communications minimal. Even though I worked from home on day 3 once I added that energy to my fast things went left. In a perfect world I'd love to do something like this in a spa setting.  Oh and that first recipe for the pineapple lemonade.... 😍.  I STILL make that when I have ingredients on hand. I throw raspberries or strawberries in the mix.... it's amazing!
Right now I'm trying to make it through a 10 day Green Smoothie Cleanse. I love to work out. But I have to do better with my nutrition.

Hey at least you identify the area for improvement and acknowledge it.  That's the first step to conquering it.

Peace family! I pretty much had to be forced into losing weight due to health reasons, and I'm glad it happened. For a long time I've been ignoring my inner promptings to return to veganism and now I have no choice, but to change my lifestyle, unless I want my condition to get worse. Since I've started eating healthier again I've lost 25 lbs and counting! I started exercising again and am starting to see a difference in my body. I have a ways to go before I reach my target weight, but I'm not quitting! I realized that I loved food more than I loved myself, and it's a shame that it took an illness to shift my thinking, but I'm glad it did. Sometimes when you don't listen to the whisper of your inner being, it has to shout to get your attention. I wish all of you love, strength, endurance, and support on your fitness journey.
