Family, Thursday night I presented in Toronto and Friday night (last night) I did my thing in Detroit--two very different cities--and both presentations were well received.  Now I am back in Canada and stopped on my return from Michigan in Buxton, Canada and Dresden, Canada.  In Buxton I visited a museum whose focus was the Dawn Settlement--one of the most prominent Black communities in 19th century Ontario.  It is an excellent museum with a superb guide.  In Dresden, I visited Uncle Tom's Cabin.  Yes, there is such a place.  It was actually the home of Josiah Henson--not at all an "Uncle Tom."  I also bought a nice new book.  It is called Mary Ann Shadd Cary, a Black woman in Canada and the first woman to publish a newspaper in North America.  So I have had a good last couple of days.  Blessings!
