The Akan calendar is based on the intricacies of the Akan culture. To be able to use it you should have a strong connection with the going ons of the Traditional Akan community. The calender itself operates like the machination of the cosmos. Festive and rest days are almost never fixed, they circulate within a circulating confinement so that there is a sort of perceived constant motion of  days, weeks and adaduanan...
Its a bit sophisticated but still simple enough to understand and appreciate.
