Last night we began a cyber journey to the South Pacific--Melanesia--the Black Islands of the South Pacific Ocean.  We started in the Solomon Islands.  I have been to the North Solomon Islands of Bougainvile and Buka.  I loved it there.  But I have not been to the nation actually called the Sololmon Islands.  It is high on my travel priority list.  Also on my high priority travel list is the South Pacific island nation called Vanuatu.  Maybe 2014 will be the year that I go to both places.  Vanuatu used to be known as New Hebrides and enjoys the reputation of being the Cuba of the South Pacific.  Let's see some of our people from Vanuatu!
