Family, let's do something constructive today.  Let's compile two lists.  People are always asking me two things: one, what I can do to help?  This is solution oriented and it is a good thing; two, what books would I recommend to expand their knowledge about Black folks.  So let's compile a list of the five or ten of the most basic things that we can to do make a difference in our lives and help empower our people.  And let's make a list of the ten or so of the most important books that we can recommend.  So post us what you think and I will try and jot them down and return the completed and edited list to you for your review.  Then, every time some one asks these questions we can submit our ready made and thought out recommendations.  And of course we can revise, edit, add and delete for our own circles of friends.  What do you think?  It should at least make for good and fruitful discussion.
