Most definitely. See if you can find a voltage converter in the US. Make sure it has a capacity of two to three times the load of your vitamix (3000-4500 watts) 220v to 110v (voltage converters need to cover the start up load of your appliances not just the listed load. Start up loads of electric motors are two to three times nominal loads. You can fake it for awhile but your vc will fry faster than you can say burning wire) The line voltage in Ghana is 220 volts (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I wish I had brought all my kitchen appliances to Tanzania with us. But we gave away or sold them for so much less than it would have cost to ship or replace them here. Buy the best voltage converter you can you won't regret it. You will use it for as long as you live in Kmt. Which I pray is many years for you and yours.

Finding high quality appliances in TZ is difficult and when you do you pay non discount prices that are department store prices in united snakes.

Based on my TZ experience you might want to bring your Dyson hepa vacuum cleaner and a hepa air filter. It gets very dusty and I haven't seen either a good vacuum cleaner or a good air cleaner. During the dry season there is a fine dust that is everywhere. There is smoke from garbage burning and wood burning that I hate to wake up breathing in the morning. You can always find both at goodwill. Likely better quality for a fraction of the price you would be forced if you can find one here that is new. Used are very difficult to find. Make sure your voltage converter is up to the task.

You can always find better prices on amazon or in discount stores on things like appliances in united snakes than you can here. It seems like most of the stuff available in stores and the markets is second level quality at best. But prices are on par with top line equipment found in discount store in united snakes. You just have to work with the voltage conversion. By the way you can find electrical cords and outlets that will fit any plug you have so don't worry about that. Just be smart and know the voltage of your machine and don't plug it into a 220 outlet if it's a 110 machine. Most high tech computer or electrical devices have ac adapters that work on 110-240 volts. Don't worry about finding the right plug.
