Archeology or Grave Robbing?

The evangilization route throughout the world has opened the doors of the imagination on a so-called existence of people of Israel that may have suffered from the wickedness of an enigmatic Pharaoh. For five hundred years, they said that people of Israel were victim of slavery and humiliation. But what I see as a destiny reserved for people of color would push every reasonable individual into reconsidering their concept of the chosen people. We would in this article limit ourselves to the chain of misfortunes imposed on the Black people on the American continent.

It is important, before anything, to remind people that have been educated to believe that the Black man of America came here only as a slave, that 80% of the population of this America had skin as black as charcoal. These people were so Black that in 1502 of the Julian Calendar, the kingship of Spain which, since 1324, was fighting for the Vatican built in Avignon (actual French territory), to be recognized as the sole representative of the Christian Empire. They used the expression, "These people are as Black as the Devil."

The conquestidors coming to this continent said they were simply coming to conquer the kingdom of the Black Devil.
Now imagine yourself farming your land to feed your family; imagine yourself again farming the same land now for a stranger because he revealed himself so barbaric and viscious that accepting slavery was your only chance of survival.
The slavery known as triangular commerce started only when all the Black tribes of America were enslaved. There was then a need to exploit all the land and that need led to bringing the Blacks from the other parts of the world.


The history of the Black race did not change for the last two millennia. The person of color is the one that is always trying to survive the logic of the eureurasiaan oppression of the world. He has been trying to survive by all means.


The world seems to have changed at all levels. The human being of today that wants to believe he has changed, sees it in terms of the errors and the barbarism of the past, that has led into the light of today. It is absolutely undeniable that all kinds of people have parts of their history that they are not proud of. But let's have the courage to recognize that the face of the victim did not change, and the face of the criminal did not change either.


The history of the cohabitation in modern America is visible at all the corners of our consciousness. In the movie "Roots", one can see a Negro called Kuntakinte tracked like an animal. He is trying to protect himself just by running away. For him, his life and his dream of freedom only relies on his ability to run and hide. He was pursued by the same people that are claiming that they wre coming to America in search of the same values of freedom and survival. The logic of that moment was simple: all people of color must be enslaved.

After the abolition of slavery, we found the same "Kuntakinte" victim of racial segregation. He could not take part in any political or social decision. He had no land to farm and absolutely nothing other than his life and his freedom. He then found himself forced to exchange them for some bread for him and his children.

The same government that has declared itself as guarantors of equal rights among all the citizens didn't find itself interested enough in the social injustice it has built. Any individual with a minimum of intelligence knows that one cannot talk about social harmony in the system that made sure to talk about equal rights and equal opportunity after it has legally denied one group of having any assets for five hundred years. One cannot talk about social justice when one hypocritically talks about equality for citizens after they have waited for one group to snatch all the land and assets of the country.


What do we do, then, about Kuntakinte, the one that has been nailed to the accused spot for five hundred years? The one that found himself on this land of prosperity with empty hands and forced to watch the White people enjoy the fortune made from his blood, sweat and back. The one who's nightmare has started the day he met White people and lost everything he had?

Kuntakinte is visible everywhere. He is the one standing at the corner of a street asking himself where his next meal will come from. He is the individual that is lost on Earth, where you need money to live and prosper, trying to solve the dilemma that has been imposed on him by the system.. He is this individual to which are opened only the doors of churches, jails, alcohol, and drugs because they can help him contain his anger in a sort of fatalistic vision of the world, if it does not ruin his capability to think clearly about his situation.

One should not be surprised to see that the percentage of people of color in American prisons is far greater than the Whites. The people of color that we see in prisons are the Kuntakintes, and the White people we see in prison are the eureurasiaans that misdirected their aggression or could not mask it very well.

We like the idea that the police force is an institution set to guarantee social peace. People in search of social peace are serious with their demands. They are not looking for a facade or a make-believe solution. It does not help to be rich in a society where every rich person will spend the rest of their lives trying to protect their wealth instead of enjoying it. It is clear since the beginning that the American prisons would be full of Blacks. They are the poor ones. They are the slaves. They are the victims of America. Why, then, will they not serve as criminals?


The Kuntakinte running for his life is Black. The slavemaster that was pursuing him is White. His crime was his refunited snakesl to spend his life as a slave. The Kuntakinte today is still Black. Those who are pursuing him are the police, and their color is "White", and his crime is his refunited snakesl to spend the rest of his life in a poverty that is imposed on him by the institutions.


Maybe we should all give a new look to the situation if we don't want to spend the rest of our lives in this sort of social trouble that will never end. "Peace," my grandfather said, "is not a word, but a behavior." It is possible to make this America the land of dreams for everybody, irrespective of one's race, religion, and ideological orientations.

My 15 year old niece brought this up to me a while ago... something I had not ever thought of. She said she always thought this when she heard the Jews were called "the chosen people".
