Cartoonist Sean Delonas of the Murdoch-owned NY Post is under fire for a cartoon published today depicting two police officers shooting a chimpanzee. According to Think Progress (http://thinkprogress.org/2009/02/18/nypost-chimp/), the incident was inspired by a pet chimp attacking a woman (http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/02/16/chimp.attack/) in Connecticut.
But Delonas' caption reads, "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.", tying the chimp to Obama (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jlBBpB0_XF-eJt6GGtXCSl5bfV1AD96E2K8G0)'s recent signing of the Economic Recovery Bill.
The Rev. Al Sharpton says a New York Post cartoon that appears to link President Obama to a violent chimpanzee is "troubling at best."
The cartoon in Wednesday's Post by Sean Delonas shows a dead chimp and two police officers, one with a smoking gun.
The caption reads, "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill."[..]

Ah, I think this cartoon has more to do with Infinite Monkey Theorem than anything else.

As usual, they see us as animals and not as human beings. They simply do not want us around and anything
they can do to further that end they will carry out. Just like the chimp they continue to shoot down and kill
our people. This is no surprise to me. They cannot and will not change their behavior. It's just their continuing
oppression of Kmtyw people. They are just being their natural self. We cannot change their behavior we can
only implement effective to protect ourselves.

Sure. Have you ever heard someone talking about how many monkeys in a room with typewriters would it take to create Shakespeare? Thats Infinite Monkey Theorem.
To me the cartoon is a reference to the length and haphazard nature of the stimulus bill itself, not a person. IE this was one of the monkeys in the room of typewriters who wrote the bill.
