On the day he was going to take the stone of rulership to the mountain as part of his coronation.

Nanso Shakeu, wampɛ ammua sɛ ɔbɔ afodeɛ no, efiri sɛ na ɔyɛ Ɔheneba a ɔwɔ ahonyadeɛ beberee.
When the King died, Shakeu asked: "Who now is there in this world for me to compete with for this title?"
Berɛ na Ɔhene wuiɛ no, Shakeu bisaa sɛ: "Hwan na ɛwɔ wiase yi mu a ɔne me bɛpere akonnwa yi ho"
He stretched out a rope to climb the mountain toward heaven.
Ɔtwe ahoma bi mu ɛforɔ bɛpɔ no hwɛ Ɔsoro Awurade
The Lord of Heaven spoke and asked Shakeu: "Did you not find anyone in all the earth with whom you could compete?"
Osorɔ Awurade kasaeɛ na ɔbisaa Shakeu sɛ "Wanhunu obiara wɔ wiase nyinaa no mu a
wobɛtumi apereɛ?"
He told Shakeu that he must never do this again.
Ɔkakyerɛ Shakeu sɛ "mma nyɛ saa biom!"
When Shakeu was returning to earth, Eshu cut the rope he used to climb the mountain toward heaven. And Shakeu was left hanging in mid-air.
Berɛ a Shakeu resaneaba asase soɔ no, Eshu, twaa ahoma a ɔde foroo bɛpɔ no kɔ asɔre no. Ɛnna Shakeu kaa ɛmaa nsensɛnmu.
Ifa says the Lord of Heaven want to give the lamp of destiny to someone, But this person should becareful so that he is not over ambitious and ruin it;
